Our ceremony and reception will be held at the Paliku Gardens on Kualoa Ranch, which is on the windward side of Oahu. See below for driving directions from Honolulu.

Date: July 30th, 2005
Time:
3 pm arrival for a 3:30 pm ceremony
Place:
Paliku Gardens, Kualoa Ranch
Address:
49-560 Kamehameha Hwy, Ka‘a‘awa

Children are welcome.
Aloha or casual attire recommended. July is one of our warmest months, although it may get a bit chilly in the evening.

The ceremony will be performed by Rachel's mother, Debbie Sharp Roberts. Following the ceremony, we will enjoy food from Gina's Korean BBQ where Raymon and Rachel eat at least once a week. The cake is being generously provided by Rachel's sister-in-law Robin Dylan who runs her own catering business on the Big Island. Then the dancing will begin! We will be treated to a short story by Jeff Gere and Francisco will be providing fire juggling entertainment at some point too!

Bring your digital cameras... We won't have disposable cameras on the tables and are hoping people will bring their personal cameras with them and then share their pic's with us later.

We have hired a 56-passenger bus! The bus will transport people from Waikiki & UH to Kualoa ranch, and back again, for the ceremony and reception! There is still plenty of room on the bus, so if you decide at the last minute that you want to use it, just show up at one of the pick up locations. Or email Rachel to reserve a spot.

Bride's Attendants:

Leilani Griego
Leilani is Rachel's younger sister. Leilani and Rachel have very different personalities, which led them to bicker often when they were young. Now that they have gotten to know and respect each other as adults they have grown to be close friends. Leilani is married to Francisco Griego and has two wonderful sons that Rachel loves being Auntie to!

Sarah Mincks
Sarah and Rachel started the graduate program in Oceanography at UH at the same time. They helped each other through the trials and tribulations that go along with grad school and had a lot of fun together along the way.

Raymond Boland
During her first year in college Rachel met Ray in the bowels of the Marine Science Bldg as she was putting away dive gear. Ray offered to take her diving and they soon became close friends. Ray is a very good listener and Rachel feels lucky to have had him as a friend for all these years.

Groom's Attendants:

Michael Orange
Michael is Raymon's younger brother. Michael is an aircraft engineer, recently returned to NZ from England. He is also getting married in 2005 to Tracey.

Anthony Mapstone
Anthony and Raymon met when they both worked for Jetz in New Zealand. Anthony now lives in Ireland and he has visited Raymon and Rachel in Hawai‘i on a number of occasions.

Flower Girl

Lynette Roberts
Lynette is Rachel's stepsister, daughter of David Roberts. She lives in Alaska most of the time, but gets to come visit her Hawai‘i family every so often. How great to get to call both Alaska and Hawai‘i home!!

Ring Bearer

Kawaihiwaokalani Griego
Kawai is Rachel's first nephew, son of Leilani & Francisco. He is super cute and Rachel doesn't get to see enough of him. The mainland relatives thought his name was about as hard to pronounce as it gets... until his little brother Ko‘iawe was born!
